A 4000 dpi scanned image of your slide is comparable to a 24 megapixel camera, however some degradation is lost in scanning. Where as the 2000 dpi would be more comparable to an 8 megapixel camera. The quality of your image is not determined by megapixel, this term is used to show the amount of pixels that make up your image. However, with that being said, higher dpi (amount of pixels) will produce greater detail from your images. I always recommend 4000 dpi over 2000 you only intend to view these on a TV. If your on a budget, go with the 4000 dpi in the Bronze service. We can always do the gold service adjustments at a later time (Using the same number of images from the bronze) but it is simply not possible to turn a 2000 dpi image into a 4000 dpi image.

Call me and ask about my services, depending on your situation, I might be able to throw something in to the deal.

No hidden fees, No extra charges. Simply the best service for the money you can get. Slide Services can be a little confusing, I'll do my best to explain the different services and difference between CD and DVD formats. It's probably not what your thinking.

TIFF Files are uncompressed for the best possible image. However, JPEG is the most common format used. So if you want to view your images on a JPG compatible DVD player or if you want to print your slide images at walmart, costco or most stores, a JPEG CD is required and is included in the Gold service.
